Welcome to Postcards from Pembrokeshire (138/365)
Today’s Postcard: House in the woods at Coppet Hall
Happy new year, blwyddyn newydd hapus, bonne annee, bonne sante!
This painting is a commissioned Postcard for someone who loves this area and all the lanes around here. And a good day, some short, weak spells of sun but enough for some contrasts. This is a lane between Coppet Hall and Wisemans Bridge. There are still squirrels about.
Paint: (on my Ritec Red homemade earth paint): lots of Permanent Mauve and Viridian with a touch of Naples Yellow for the main eathy blocks, Burnt Umber and a little Prussian Blue for the trunks. Then Cerulean Blue, Flesh Tint, Cadmium Green Pale (tinted) and a dash or Raw Sienna woven through.
Brush: Size 2 filbert (hog). Sizes 0 and 2 and 4 round (synthetic).
Hope you like the painting,
